Greetings From Bangalore
Hello People
This blog was a wonderfull idea, thanks Carlos.
To start, I will shortly post about my current whereabouts and activities.
I am currently in Bangalore(Indian silicon valley), enjoying good and cheap India cuisine and a wonderfull tropical weather. The purpose of my trip here is to explore the dynamics and life in the silicon valley like environment. In allmost 3 month of my being here I have expereinced some cultural shocks, made some discoveries , met VERY different people and had couple of surprises along the way.
Will be posting more details in the near future
Best wishes to all of you

Woooow!! you are in the amazing Bangalore?!!! I did not know that! Today I was reading more about the outstanding technological and innovative things going there.
Aibek, try to get all the possible conexions there, this is area is so hot!
Please, keep up us updated...
Yeah Carlos, there are lots of stuff going on here, city full of IT companies. It is very dynamic environment, I get the feeling though that most of the companies are local subsidaries of already long established IT companies from US and Europe. I would want to see more smaller 1-10 people companies
Yeah, Aibek,
it seems very cool. I have always wanted to go to India, really.
In terms of culture, how do you feel the differences?
good luck!
hi Ana Luiza
yeah culture here is very different. I am Asian myself but even then I find India very very different.
Firstly, they speak so many different langauges, you can easily meet 2 people on the street who can't speak to each other. English and Hindi are spoken nationwide but mainly by more/less educated people. As aresult of this people tend to group.
Another aspect is about the way to deal with people. You can't really easily rely on most of the people, which is actually quite similr even to my country and Soviet Union in general. So, before doing anything with someone you should really make all terms very clear. For instance, at the beginning taxi drivers would always ask me to pay them more then we agreed upon.
Also indians are very warm people, as different as you may seem they always qute friendly and helpful.
Thats all I can think of at the moment
Aibek
